A solo acoustic show from a rising force in the UK Folk scene. Support from Rose Marsden and Zak Alexander. The Liverpool singer songwriter is a captivating display of pure passion, inspired by the likes of Damien Rice, Conor Oberst + Jeff Buckley. His music has been supported by BBC Introducing and Sofar Sounds. The 23-year-old is a graduate of the prestigious Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and was winner of the universities Paul McCartney Songwriting Session. Jackson was commended by the Beatle for being “a great lyricist”. Last summer saw Jackson release his self-titled EP. The record features tracks such as his single “Sophia”, a lumineers-style ballad recounting an intense failed love affair. “Babe This Isn’t August” showcases his raw, personal songwriting style, with its instrumentation echoing that of influences Pinegrove & Big Thief.
