The Nightcreatures duo is a stripped down version of New Orleans R&B band The Nightcreatures, specialising in Swamp Funk, Voodoo Blues and Mardi Gras street beats. They'll be serving up a spicy gumbo of classic New Orleans material, old time blues and rock/pop covers given the Nightcreatures treatment. In the true spirit of the city they bring together songs sourced from such diverse artists as Prince, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Waits and Ian Drury, as well as from New Orleans greats like Allen Toussaint, Dr John, Professor Longhair and James Booker. In addition to this they have reworked songs that were originally recorded by classic bluesmen Blind Willie Johnson, Leadbelly, Screaming Jay Hawkins and Jelly Roll Morton.
