Curated by Bim Williams, a familiar face on the Manchester jazz scene, the series aims to bring together some of the finest musicians from diverse backgrounds, creating a unique platform for collaboration and innovation. The series also celebrates the tradition of jazz virtuosos performing with house bands, with each night focused on playing standards and iconic pieces that have shaped this music. This second instalment features the exceptional Josh Vadiveloo; a bassist hailing from Bedfordshire. After studying Jazz at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Josh now collaborates with some of the most exciting musicians in the country. The last few years have seen him perform with the likes of Xhosa Cole, Soweto Kinch, Rachael Cohen, Jean Toussaint, Pat Thomas and Mark Sanders, among others. He has performed in prestigious venues in the UK and Europe, including Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express, Southbank Centre, and Unterfahrt Jazz Club. Josh features on Xhosa Cole's latest album 'On a Modern Genius, Vol. 1', which was recorded live off the back of a 35-date UK tour.
