MFF26 Presents Izzie Yardley & Noah Malcolm

Friday, March 20th 2026
Doors at 19:00
Through a partnership between Manchester Folk Festival and Music PEI, Izzie Yardley has been working with Canadian artist Noah Malcolm in a very special pan-Atlantic project. Following time spent together in Prince Edward Island and in Manchester, this concert will be a chance to hear some of the music from two wonderfully talented singer-songwriters. Izzie Yardley is a singer-songwriter attracting critical recognition as a singer, lyricist and multi-instrumentalist. She crafts detailed songs laced with imagination, emotion and beguiling complexity, which draw from British folk traditions as well as the jazz and classical music she grew up on. Captivating and unfettered live performances are earning her a rapidly growing audience, while the versatile nature of Izzie’s music has taken her to touring the UK with the likes of US-based folk band The Brother Brothers, songwriting heavyweight and guitarist for Paul Weller Matt Deighton and alt-rock duo Ida Mae. Queer singer-songwriter Noah Malcolm (2022 New Artist of the Year, Music PEI) is a consummate performer. His debut EP ‘On Time’ earned airplay across the country and his homemade video for ‘If Not’ won Best Folk Video at the CIMVAs. He’s appeared at Festival of Small Halls, M for Montreal, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Lunenburg Folk Festival, ECMAs, JUNOFest, NXNE and with the PEI Symphony. 2024 brought 5 Music PEI nominations and 2 wins, including Pop Recording of the Year (Feel The Same) and his first 2 ECMA nominations including Rising Star Recording of the Year. He was selected for the inaugural Lunenburg song camp with Stephen Fearing and Rose Cousins.
