A contemporary take on jazz standards.  Louis Berthoud and his quartet bring music which is dynamic, warm & complex, all underpinned by an infectious swing-feel.  The ensemble employs contemporary approaches to music-making in their treatment of classic jazz repertoire, all while maintaining a strong sense of space to allow each bandmember’s musical ideas flourish.  Expect stellar interplay, improvisation and musical expression inspired by the likes of Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman & John Coltrane.
